| I found an injured/orphaned
animal -- what should I do? |
| |
Welcome! Wild Bunch Wildlife Rehabilitation is a 501(c)(3)
nonprofit organization devoted to helping native Virginia wildlife by sponsoring hands-on
care for sick, injured, and orphaned animals, by educating the public to prevent or
resolve wildlife problems, and by operating a refuge for animal care and release.
Erika Yery relates the highs and lows of caring for wildlife in 2009 in the President's
Message. View the new wildlife Refuge and look at our Photo Album of rehabilitated
animals. Ever wondered what it's like to be a wildlife rehabilitator? Then read
our True Stories. Read about current activities in our Newsletter. Past features were
brought back by popular demand and are on the Encore! page. Please contact us if you
have a wild animal problem or concern, or would like to receive our monthly newsletter.
If you wish to help wildlife, we can assist you in becoming a Virginia-permitted
rehabilitator or care provider. The next best thing is to support a wildlife organization
financially because caring for wildlife is expensive and involves no government
subsidies. There are several worthy organizations, and we hope you will include us in
your consideration. Wild Bunch is small but its principals care for several hundred
animals each year, and it provides help to other rehabilitators who care for hundreds
more. |
